Camping and beyond!

On Tuesday we packed up our stuff, picked up the rental car, took a brief trip to hospital (Zeph had hurled himself head first off his change table, so Rowenna wanted to get him a check-up. He was fine, luckily), then set off for the campsite. It was a cloudy but dry day, with the sun shining.
Until we arrived, when the heavens opened.

It rained for the entire time we were camping (including during our visit to Cawdor Castle, which was fairly shit and expensive)

- up until we packed up to leave on the Thursday. At which point we thought we'd make the most of the brief sunshine and visited the Highland Wildlife Park.

Snowy owl.

Arctic fox.

Amur tiger.

Nettie's hand is not as big as a tiger's paw.

Macaques.

Scottish Wildcat kitten.

Playing.

We were all pretty knackered after the camping. So we spent the next couple of days having some down time (See my Small Things blog for shots from Meadowfield Park and the Royal Mile).

And cooking. Because Zeph's naming ceremony was on the Sunday. We ate food, met up with a lot of my family, Nettie and I were named as two of Zeph's Companions (secular godparents), and a marvellous time was had by all, especially Zeph himself!

Wow, I can't believe how long ago camping feels! And the naming ceremony! But at the same time it feels like the time has flown by, I can't believe we go home tomorrow!
Thanks for the post hun, it will be great to be able to look back on all of this :)
